“I work in harm reduction and with folks who use substances. This piece is based on one of the more heartbreaking experiences I’ve had in this line of work. This piece is called “Watching” and has many symbols specific to the story of the individual I commemorated with this piece. It also speaks to what it’s like to watch individuals navigate something so difficult and complex.”
